Sadly, because I fly 3-4 times I year, I just go along with it, I just try to blank out and walk through the process like a sheep least I get arrested railing against the absurdity of this draconian abuse of power ... and people wonder why airport bars are so popular (I usually want a stiff drink after getting through security).
If Kafka were alive today, he'd be writing about American airports.
I know, it's like I told my boss, you're afraid to even SAY anything or look at anybody funny.
I probably will have to fly again, but i'm just being stubborn right now. I'd be willing to eat the time if Amtrak went to Tennessee. I don't know if their security is as insane?
I can't wait until they start employing Psychic screeners like Sylvia Browne... Maybe they'll stop whole planes from flying because they "have a vision of a plane falling from the sky."
Or maybe they'll come up with some "terrorist detector device."
(next thing you know they'll make people randomly strip off their clothes in the security line)
I just had a wonderful idea for a new private airline for those who are afraid of flying with terrorists...
Instead of having all this security screening, they could just let everyone fly nude.
Think about it -- no more metal detector, no more long waits in the security line. Just step in the bathroom, remove your clothes, and you're ready to fly!!
The airports won't be happy until we are all flying naked.
It's really getting insane. I used to LOVE flying...
But then 9/11 happened...
And The Authorities flew into Politically Correct hysteria, deciding to punish everyone equally (including all those suspicious 80-yr-old Anglo-Saxon grandmas) with all this stupid MOD CUT Orwellian crap instead of narrowing in on people who fit the PROFILE(!!!) of the perps

I am with you there. It is called smart law enforcement.
BTW: I have been subjected to profiling when flying------I rather resembled an 'Earth First' type individual with my jeans, tiedyed shirt, beard, etc.
Oh well; it is my choice to look like a 1960's Hippie
