Can you please show the the week to week sales numbers on his book and Hillary's?
I do not have access to Costco's internal private data, but if D'Souza's book was such an amazing seller then they wouldn't have many to send back. I suspect the decsision was algorithm based and/or by someone who didn't realize a movie based on the book was coming out.
The stupid thing here is that if they were politically motivated, they wouldn't have sold the book IN THE FIRST PLACE. Again, this is just like the $30k KFC kid. A bunch of stupid people whining on social media without having their facts in order.
They were given opportunity to explain themselves and didn't. The book I believe sole over 3,000 copies at Costco and was doing well on NYT list. There was no valid reason to pull it. And if they weren't going to even try to explain why they did, that says plenty in itself.
Why does Costco or any other company owe anyone an explanation of pulling a product. It's their business and their right.

Because the people on the right believe that a business' power over its own affairs is absolute and should not be questioned and that political correctness is wrong until their feelings get hurt and then they change their tune.
When Obama needed a business executive to come to his campaign defense, Jim Sinegal was there. The Costco co-founder, director and former CEO even made a prime-time speech at the Democratic Party convention in Charlotte.
So what a surprise this week to see that Mr. Sinegal and the rest of the Costco board voted to give themselves a special dividend to avoid Obama’s tax increase.

Amen. Whether Costco wishes to sell or not sell any particular book is its own decision.
The movie “America,” which has been given a rare “A+” CinemaScore by audiences, opened in 1,105 theaters nationwide.
WND first reported Monday that the retail giant had issued the unusual pull order for a new book that is rising on the bestsellers lists. It is currently ranked No. 1 at Amazon.
Hillary Clinton's book is not holding up under that standard yet they were not pulled.
Yes, they have a right to sell or not to sell. I'll just know if you want junk reading it can be found at Costco.
Money is the bottom line, right? Capitalism over ideology... oops the guy screwed himself! He'll make the same mistake down the road, but for now... oops!
