Israel will not even allow emergency humanitarian aid from Red Cross in afflicted areas tonight! Aggressive and deadly.
Other nations stand by and do next to nothing because it is within Israel's rights to defend themselves. The U.N. has expressed their concerns to Israel about their excessive bombardments of residential areas as have the U.S. but the fact is, they are doing what they can to not cause civilian casualties. They even take the time to call the residents in Gaza ahead of their attacks to warn them that they will be bombarding their neighborhood and to please evacuate. If you take the time to study other conflicts around the world, this is quite a nice gesture by the Israeli army if you ask me.

I'm not siding with anyone in the conflict, because there's always two sides to every coin, but I would recommend that you read up on other conflicts currently going on in the world (Darfur, Armenia, Somalia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Sudan, etc) and see how many other warring factions are currently calling their enemies to warn them of impending air strikes.

There is a video on this page of a 2009 attack by Israel based on data from the UN that shows just how little warning many civilians are given of attack. If they were all so well-warned they wouldn't be dying in the hundreds, now would they? Also, remember, there is no where to go.

Yes I've read plenty about the 2009 attacks and there's two sides to each coin. 1) That was 2009 2) Consider the media source 3) Hundreds of deaths is still a tenth of the casualties of the US/Afghan/Iraq conflict.

This is from Wiki on Al Jazeera:

Allegations of antisemitism[edit]
An article in the American Journalism Review noted that critics of Al-Jazeera have "assailed what they see as anti-Semitic, anti-American bias in the channel's news content."[7] An example cited from earlier years was a report in Al-Jazeera that Jews had been informed in advance not to go to work on the day of the September 11 attacks, which was criticized by an October 2001 editorial in the New York Times. An often-repeated example involves an on-air birthday party organized by Al Jazeera's Beirut bureau chief for a Lebanese militant convicted of killing four Israelis, including a four-year-old girl. Al Jazeera greeted Samir Kuntar, released in a July 2008 prisoner swap, as a hero. A more recent example given by the article is the weekly show "Sharia and Life" by Yusuf Qaradawi, an Egyptian cleric who, according to a February 2011 article in The Atlantic, "argues clearly and consistently that hatred of Israel and Jews is Islamically sanctioned."[7][8]

Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly has criticized al-Jazeera for being "anti-Semitic" and "anti-American".[9] In response, Dave Marash, a veteran correspondent for ABC's Nightline who resigned from his position as Washington anchor for Al Jazeera English in 2008 due to a perception of anti-American bias,[10] appeared on the O'Reilly Factor and asserted, "They certainly aren't anti-Semitic, but they are anti-Netanyahu and anti-Lieberman and anti-Israeli right...."[7][11]

According to Erik Nisbet, an Ohio State University professor who studies Arab media, anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism is woven into the fabric of al-Jazeera's Arabic reporting.[7][9]

Al-Jazeera shows more of the reality of what is happening in Gaza than the North American networks do. Even BBC news is showing more. Americans are being spared the sight of tiny bloodied bodies of children and sobbing mothers. On Al-Jazeera you can see live feed of the Isreali bombings and ground assault; even the audio is frightening. I'll watch Fox, CNN, BBC, and Al -Jazeera. The events in Gaza are only receiving significant coverage on BBC and Al-Jazeera. Al-Jezeera is biased, and so are all other media outlets. All media holds an inescapable bias. One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist. One man's dead child is another man's "collateral damage."

Part of the reason most Americans just don't understand the Palestinian view is because the media is not showing us what is happening in Gaza. Clear and simple.

Did -- anyone -- actually watch this video? It shows that 3 minutes is not a long time to get a big family out of their home in the middle of the night, that humans get confused and don't react immediately, that chaos and confusion reigns, and delays happen. Then...death---in the case of the video 6 or 7 women and children.

My suggestion to those people would be to support and vote for a different political party that doesn't use terror as a tactic to raise money for their cause, and one that attacks neighboring countries with blind hatred. Does Al Jazeera show any videos of dead Israelis? I know one thing is a fact, that since 1964 there has been more than one death on each side of the war, so your political news sources, do they show the atrocities on both sides of the war, or just the plight of the Palestinians? If you can't answer that question with a yes, then you are only getting one side of the coin and should open your eyes to more than one viewpoint.

From 2005 to 2012 there have been :

2332 Palestinian deaths and 61 Israeli deaths.

I'm sure there's more recent data, but the ratio is probably even more lop-sided by now. So, yes, this looks like a fair conflict....if you can't do math.

Equate that to the war in Afghanistan.

20,000 Taliban and civilian casualties 1742 US deaths. So what's your point here? Every war in history has had one side with more casualties than the other. Just because one side is winning doesn't mean they're cruel, which seems to be your argument. War is hell.

Well, one side is a far more effective terrorist.
Actually one society operates rationally and logically and just wants peace. The other society is consumed with the madness of crazy Faith, and they will always be predators because that is part of their basic religion. It's spelled out in their doctrine. They will not tolerate the "infidel" in any way, shape, or form, now or ever. So really, there are no "innocent civilians" in Gaza. There can't be. They put Hamas in power so they ARE Hamas. How do you reason with madness? You don't. It just has to be stamped out.

And guess what they did with those rockets......... Yup, they handed them over to Hamas.
