Maybe you, like the AGW true believers, are looking at only one factor and attributing that single factor to everything you see,

People come to California, start new businesses, and thrive. Texas has to poach, settling for the low hanging fruit. They are more than welcome to tale those back office jobs. Besides, no one is reporting the kinds of businesses and the kinds of jobs and the kinds of people who are leaving California.

Our population is growing (no, illegals do not count in the population counts) and the economy is growing. 8th best in the world. Can Texas claim that?

And what do we call this type of faith?

I would call it a supply side religion. Or more accurately, an abridged Christian theology that disregards the basis tenets of Christ's teachings together with a whole heaping of voodoo economics.

Voodoo economics did not work Reagan; did not work for W; does not work for Brownback.

But you guys continue to keep the faith.
You are apparently not qualified to reach an accurate conclusion about economics, if you believe tax increases improve the private economy.

Government taxation is, always has been, and always will be an added cost burden to private business. And when private business costs increase, those added costs must be dealt with. The #1 method in dealing with additional cost is to recover it by increasing prices. The #2 method is a reduction in operating costs to offset the added burden, and that s usually done by cutting overhead (jobs). So, increasing prices and cutting jobs benefits the economy? How?

Basic economics 101 .... on a very personal level is very easy to understand ... most people are not confused about it. Those with a very basic grasp of reality understand that their personal economic prosperity can be measured in how much money they have ... imagine that! Now, would you be more prosperous with more or LESS money? The second measure of economic prosperity is how much money you have left over after your expenses are paid. Tax is an expense. ... and increases in expenses cannot possibly lead to greater economic prosperity.

This should be well understood by the time you reach High School. It's not at all complex.

Who'd ever thought that you'd need basic services or that blindly cutting taxes would just benefit the billionaires much more than the average middle class family?
So a 2% income tax cut is the cause? What will that amount to, a loss of about 1% total revenue?

Default sit and stay!

Tax cuts reveal the colossal waste that has become institutionalized in KS and elsewhere.

A quick web search will reveal story after story of how tax payer money was wasted in KS.

Like complaining that removing an old bandage reveals an infected wound and demanding the wound not be addressed and the old bandage replaced.

Shows how the government has conditioned its taxpayer lifeline to replace the government wasted money with more taxpayer money. Now don't you feel foolish? Sit and stay!!

We are literally dealing with people who think bureaucrats and politicians know better how to spend people's money, then the people do. Nirvana for these fools would be full out Communism, where the bureaucrats in government take all our money, and run our lives for us.

Talk about clueless .... people have been fleeing California like rats on a sinking ship for 20+ years now, many of whom are now in Texas. Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid, and these arriving liberals will eventually destroy the reason why they came here in the first place, because liberals either have no memory, or no concept of learning from their own mistakes.

Apparently, you only have a limited knowledge on how government works nor how important good and fiscally sound government is. There is nothing that I can write or anyone can write for that matter to convince someone who believes that taxes are evil otherwise.

However, in the simplest of terms, government needs revenue to pay for its military, infrastructure and expenses. In order to prosper businesses need good infrastructure, roads ,bridges, etc. In order to raise revenue for infrastructure, the government has what is called a taxing power. Businesses use infrastructure to grow.

Yes taxes are a cost of doing business. I grew up in a tradition that a fiscally sound government is better than a broke government. I know this concept is anathema to a group of people today who call themselves conservatives. However, let's see how prosperous businesses are when the government is bankrupt.

That's why we refer to them as "liberal locusts." It does not even matter what political party they are in, liberals are liberals, their knee jerk policies destroy the freedom and prosperity of the cities and states they infect. They suck the life out of wherever city or state they go, and then move on to the next healthy host like a plague.

With liberal progs, more taxation is always better. They will never admit that maybe they have Taxed Enough Already, and if their government did not waste and abuse the trillions of dollars we already gave them, they could make due with what they have.
