Now if the GOP wishes to get serious consideration for the WH, it can only occur by ditching social conservatism, as that would allow them the possibility of some Blue Wall EC penetration.
But if they totally ditch social conservatism, they would basically be Democrats. What would be the point?

No, they wouldn't, unless you are saying the Dems are fiscally conservative.

Default Black Chicago Residents Disenchanted With Obama

But does he care since he's not running for relection? Has he ever cared about them after he got their vote? How's their unemployment rate?

"Black residents of Chicagoís South Side, who recently rallied to decry a spate of violence in the city, ripped President Obama for ignoring their plight while pushing for funding for illegal immigrants at their expense. Demonstrators blasted the Obama administrationís inaction in Chicago while federal funds are earmarked to help the roughly 50,000 illegal immigrants who have crossed into America since October."

Blah, blah, blah....You folks remember Marion Barry? The Black Mayor caught on video tape smoking crack and hanging out with prostitutes in a hotel room? Well after serving his jail sentence, the blacks voted him right back into office. I'd use the term uninformed voter, but that would not even scratch the surface. Say what you want, if Oblamo was able to run again, he'd still carry 90+% of the black vote.

I love how many people in this country think the Pres can wave a magic wand and cure all problems.

I think this is deeper than entitlements at this point. Chicago is a cesspool in some parts. The city has been ran through by violence for years. I can't imagine too many wanting to continue that type of living. People have become fed up and they want change. Seeing love ones die on a regular basis will change your mindset very quickly.

Isn't that what he's trying to do with immigration? Didn't he just come out and say that he will take care of immigration himself? What's the difference here? If he has that much power to change immigration, why not his home town?
