But what about the constant rhetoric from Democrats that the Republican party is all about the rich? If what you cite is factual, wouldn't that be counterproductive?

Republicans are all about billionaires...most working people are not billionaires.
• Al Franken (Democrat) (U.S. Senator, Minnesota; incumbent)
• Ben Jones (Democrat) (U.S. Congressman, 4th District of Georgia)
• Helen Gahagan (Democrat) (U.S. Representative, 14th District of California)
• Jerry Springer (Democrat) (Mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio)
• Kal Penn (Democrat) (Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement for the Barack Obama administration)
• Nancy Kulp (Democrat) (unsuccessful nominee for U.S. House of Representatives, Pennsylvania)
• Ralph Waite (Democrat) (unsuccessful nominee for U.S. House of Representatives)
• Sheila Kuehl (Democrat) (California State Senator)
• Stephen Peace (Democrat) (California State Senator)
Outside of Franken and Springer, I have to admit I know nothing of the other celebrities. Not counting the failed candidates who never held office, that is. Of course I remember Ralph Waite (RIP) from The Waltons. And the fact of the matter is that Springer wasn't known as a celebrity until well after he served as mayor.

So what I glean from these several posts is that the left side of the aisle has nothing to recommend itself but derision, insults and name-calling which I consider to be the last bastions of weakness. Policy doesn't matter. Only their party does. Talk about being led around by the nose compliments of their handlers! That's true on the other side of the aisle as well but the left is shriller and ultimately, whinier. I think we independents and moderates are the only true, critical thinkers capable of or willing to indulge in real analysis.

Excuse me, but your bias is showing.
Some of us who are a bit older do remember many of them.
My "bias," as you so cavalierly label it, is evenly distributed with disdain for both extremes.
Hmm! Is a balanced approach really a bias? Well, perhaps to the unbalanced it is.
Here's a clue for you. Don't ask a question if you don't want the answer.
Actually, liberals have higher IQs than conservatives on average. As a matter of fact the more conservative one is the lower the IQ...or so I have read.
Democrats (are you not a democrat?) have lower IQs than republicans. Those who consider themselves "liberal" are only 20% of the population.
Of course, the liberals are mostly affluent, limosine liberals who seek to maintain a stable, subservient slave class of the population. Liberals would be expected to support policies that promote a continued "two class society" and would support policies to destroy the middle class. This is why liberals supported-
1. NAFTA
2. China most favored nation trade status
3. open borders with a flood of cheap labor (note the decline in domestic labor in construction)
4. opposition to the coal industry
5. opposition to domestic energy expansion
6. EPA regulations which reduce US manufacturing
Liberals are OPPOSED to the middle class (they consider the middle class to be an impediment to socialism) and thus their policies.
Wake up- Liberals are more of a threat to America than were the Germans and Japanese in WW2. Libs need to destroy the middle class, the church, and the family to achieve their goals.
You have incorrectly (and deliberately) equated that all democrats are liberals. This is completely false. Let's look at IQ of DEMOCRATS (isn't that how you vote? Keep in mind that only 20% of US citizens describe themselves as "liberal") vs REPUBLICANS http://gulagbound.com/35139/republic...eral-pew-poll/
Take home message- MOST democrat voters are idiots and have a lower IQ than REPUBLICAN voters.

Yet the stats show that the more education one has, the more one makes. And those with the highest education levels vote for Dems.
There's a disconnect in your reasoning. The higher one's income, the more likely one is to vote Republican. So, where are all those supposedly highly educated high-earning Democrat voters?
Likewise, the lower one's income, the more likely they are to vote for Democrats. Without a doubt, the least educated and lowest-income earners are overwhelmingly Democrats.
Bottom line, Democrat or Republican, they are all of the sub human life form known as politicians. Where ones graft, greed and corruption ends, the other starts. We have no representation in our government, and if you think we do, you're kidding yourself.
