What will be next on the gay rights agenda after gay marriage legalized in their state? Gay adoption? The right to be married in the church? We always hear "the battle is far from over." I can see this being a never ending battle throughout my lifetime even if(when) gay marriage passes in all states.

Getting sexual orientation added to federal anti-discrimination laws as a protected class.

I'll say covering 'sexual orientation' under federal civil rights laws.

I don't think the ssm issue is over until there's a Supreme Court ruling.

Not in some states, at least jointly. A single person can, but not 2 people of the same sex in some states.

At least children are being protected in some states.

Having the same rights as everyone else can hardly be considered 'special'.
