The school that lost the student would lose the state funding for that student however since the state funding only made up half of the schools budget they would have been left with more funding per student.

What exactly would you find wrong with this plan?
That does nothing to fix the problem, that is just a bandaid to make people feel like they did something.

Eliminating public schools does not equal eliminating public funded education.

Great point.

At least most of the time private schools do enforce some moral values, missing in public schools.
Both my children tried them all, and finished by their choice in home schooling, and passed their GED just fine .
I think that says it all.

And how would those thriving public schools that now would receive no money continue to thrive? Or do you think only private schools thrive?

Specifically what issue do you find with this plan?

So basically you want to go to a private school system that is funded by the tax payer that has selective enrollment that only allows in some Americans, what about those that cannot get into private school or cannot afford to go to private school?

If students go to them they would use their vouchers . School vouchers would go to public as wel as private schools and charters

Well for starters, it doesn't do anything to help the school that is failing it just removes a student from that school. How does removing students fix a problem?
