Don't mind him, based on his posts he hasn't gotten out much since 'Nam. You can catch AIDS from a toilet seat, didn't you know? LOL

McGreevey violated rules when he donated blood
I know what your point was.

By law he is barred but he lied, like I'm sure many do when donating.

My post was to educate because I know for a fact many do not know gay or bisexual men are not allowed to give a blood donation.

But Kinsey didn't interview ALL adults either. In fact, no survey does that.

Not to mention that due to some of the public backlash to all the legal rights they have gotten recently, some of them may just be staying in the closet.
What backlash? And why would anyone stay in the closet for an anonymous CDC survey?

It's cool to be gay now and it never was before. Heck, pop culture is so saturated with gayness it's getting boring and I bet some kids are starting to look for the Next Cool Lifestyle.

Seems too low. Needs another study with a population less likely to be closeted.

If you needed blood and you knew it came from a gay man, would you take it?

Let me guess, now you think they don't test the blood, they just give it out willy nilly? Wow.

They test for cancer too but somehow they keep missing it. Will you bet your life on a lab test?

Who tests for cancer? You also know that you have no idea who your getting your blood from so when you say "will you bet your life on a lab test?", yes I do. Do you trust your lab results when you get bloodwork or do you get blood work done 3 times a week because you never quite believe the outcome?

I am not gonna die if they read my cholesterol level wrong. It is a question of odds. The blood may very well have been tested but why take a chance? Am I not allowed to choose my donor?
