The sheeple apparently suffer the delusion that we are the only country in the world allowed to put military bases anywhere we find countries willing to accommodate them.

you really think sanctions by US will hurt Russians ? they will not at all.
The EU is against them. But Obama did it anyway. He's such a great guy.
Meanwhile, Russia forms BRIC alliance and sells gas to France for Euros
and to China for roubles. It's all good. uh huh.

This is what happens when we have a wuss in the Whitehouse. Most average Americans know it, and you can bank on alpha leaders from less than friendly countries are willing to exploit it.

That's the theory you're going with? If Obama had been more like Charles Bronson the Russian's wouldn't have dared?

Interesting theory, professor.

That's even better than the Iraq war. With Iraq you hold only one prior prez responsible for 2009-now. With 'policy toward Cuba' you get to blame, what is it, 10, prior presidents for what happens in 2014

I'd blame the current president and his predecessors.

Although I can only imagine the hootin' and hollerin' around here if Obama had normalized relations with Cuba-- which is 100% what should be done.

What?

Name one thing currently happening that even comes close to the Cold War. The Cold War was defined by the looming threat of a massive scale war where a nuclear arsenal would be used. Even heard of mutually assured destruction.

America's current position in the world is far from great, but we are miles away from another 'Cold War.'

Well, I guess that wins you more Latin American friends than inciting mobs to go after their children that illegally crossed our border.
