Any thing from a place like that is loaded with salt.
"A place like that?" And, no, it isn't. I have eaten them. They are not salty (and I use very little salt, so I would know in an instant if it had too much salt). They are delicious.
The Republicans would not tell us what to eat but would be very happy letting anyone that could not afford to eat simply go away and starve. Same applies to getting any health treatment. If some Republican cannot make a profit at something it should not happen. Free school lunch, chick-a-Fil, or not is simply anathema and against their god's (Mammon's) will.
Check out the sodium content for school lunches in your area. You might be surprised to find out it's on par with a sandwich from a fast food restaurant.
Oh, they don't care about facts. They just hate Chick-fil-A.

Nice way to not deal with the topic at hand eh ?
Chick-Fil-a in schools have absolutely nothing to do with free lunches.
They are not giving away chick-fil-a sandwiches for FREE.
The free lunch is that lump of brownish meat, 2 pieces of lettuce with a soggy tomato, 1/2 cut banana with cut side going brown and your 2% milk.

I agree with you that Chick Fil A sandwhiches are delicious but it is true that they are high in sodium at 1390mg per sandwich. That said, I've checked the sodium content for my daughter's school lunches and found them to be equally high.
The new school lunch program is not making lunches healthier, just less calories. .

Don't give me that nonsense! Tastes good but bad for you. This sandwich is loaded with salt. Sodium 1390mg 58%
I absolutely do know what a Marxist/socialist (a.k.a. "Progressive") is, but apparently you don't.
Might I suggest you read "The Road to Serfdom" by F.A. Hayek? You might gain an understanding of the ideology of these people.
And she is a pig!
I don't? I lived behind the Iron Curtain under socialism. You?
How, exactly, is the First Lady a "pig"?
Do you think she looks like one? Does she oink? Have litters? Tastes like bacon? Covers herself in mud to keep the flies off?
What do you mean? Do you even know, or is this more right-wing misogyny?

There's a high level of salt in almost all processed food.
And IMHO it's gotten worse over the years. I like just a tad bit of salt. I'm the one that scrapes all the salt off of pretzels before eating them.
There are foods I've stopped buying because of the overwhelming amount of salt now found in them.
I also buy "no salt added" canned goods.
I do not cook with salt and add just a dash to food that I cook from scratch.
The salt has been increasing in our processed food over the years and most adjust to it.
There are others I've spoken to that also notice that food has gotten more saltier over the years.
Just like sweet has gotten more sweeter due to HFCS.
I only drink cane sugar soda now and can taste the sweet thickness of HFCS in soda and don't order it anymore when eating out. Unsweetened Ice Tea is my drink.

That’s because more than75 percent of the sodium in the average American diet comes from salt added to processed foods. In other words, we often don’t even know we’re eating it. And while cutting table salt is wise, it may only be putting a tiny dent in your sodium total.
The headline is totally deceiving (what a shock), but the more interesting part of the story is that a school in SC is feeding students Chik-fil-A. There's the real shock. REALLY? You're going to serve deep fried crap to students in a school? No wonder people in the South are so fat!
I fully support our First Lady's campaign for kids to eat healthy. When I was in high school, we had a full salad bar and healthy lunch options. There were no soda or snack machines either. Somehow, I made it through my school days without shoving Doritos and Ding Dongs down my throat.
