Nope. Sarah Palin is completely who she is. One thing that Palin is not is malleable. She's as brittle as a piece of flint, and that's her essential nature. If she could have changed, she would have by now; for a long time in 2011, the Republican candidacy was very close to being hers. All she had to do was hire a few coaches and do some needed homework, but both were beyond her ability to accept herself in full. As a result she waffled until it was far to late to commit.

Her experience and education don't mean squat in Presidential politics. Trying to inflate her credentials won't ever change how voters saw her, then and now. Can anyone name the last President who did not have a college degree? How many past Presidents were current or former Governors? It's far harder to name one who wasn't. The last was Bush #1, a much better known person than Palin, and he lost to a former Governor on his second try.

Ironically, Hillary Clinton shares some of her personal qualities, but to a lesser extent. The biggest difference between their personalities is Clinton is very aware of her shortcomings, but Palin is oblivious to hers.

Trying to imagine her as a Democrat is impossible, even though as Governor, she was a lot more practical than she is now. Only in the Alaska of 2006 would she be considered to be moderate, and that Alaska has now changed since falling on some brand new hard times.

Yes, in a world where you liberals complain about a war on women you assassinated the character of a professionally successful educated female mother of a disabled child beyond repair. You must be so proud.

Nothing about policy? Too many people don't get it. It's always about policy.

She was completely out of her depth, whether attempting to speak foreign policy or using character assassination on her opponents. She's the jokiest of jokes to ever be placed on the presidential ticket of a major party, and no change in affiliation would affect that.

There never was a character who was ever so susceptible to assassination as Sarah Palin. Her only, and brief, appearance of being capable of the job for which she was selected came during her acceptance speech, and the speech was written long before by someone else.
Without a doubt, Palin is very capable of reading words written by another. But when she had to speak on her own, the 6 week bounce she enjoyed evaporated.

She did it to herself. There's no pride involved in it.
Was she really professionally successful? As a politician, not really. She is sure canny enough to turn a very personal defeat into great financial success as The Mother Of Perpetual Grievance, and certainly understands that her bread is best buttered as an outsider looking in, rather than an insider looking out.

Her educational qualifications are not special in any way, and neither is her disable child. And no Democrat ever picked on her disabled son, then or now. The Democratic party is not at war with women, and trying to conflate Palin's total collapse as a candidate doesn't fly. She is no defender of her gender when it comes to politics, and never was. For sure, she was never a champion of anything in the women's movement at all, then or now.

Is she picked on? Sure! Is she just as quick to pick on others? Sure! That's how she rolls.

Are you proud of her?

She's not dumb, she just believes different things than you do. I know Pelosi is not dumb, but everything she believes is wrong.

How could you possibly know "everything she believes?"

Answer: you don't. All you know about Nancy Pelosi is that she's a Dem from San Francisco. That's enough for you to know definitively EVERYTHING she believes.

Palin? When she got her shot, she blew it. Sorry, but that's a fact. She's got two brain cells...and one is still lost in Wasilla somewhere.

OK, so she won't be counting on your vote if she ever runs for office again.
