I can deal with the bullets, and the bombs, and the blood. I don't want money, and I don't want medals. What I do want is for you to stand there in that white uniform and with your Harvard mouth extend me some ******* courtesy

You follow orders OR people die?

NO!

You follow orders AND people (including too damn many Americans) die!

For what?

To keep the MIC humming along?

I heard enough of this tripe in the Vietnam era.

ENOUGH!

I eat breakfast 300 yards from 4000 Cubans who are trained to kill me, so don't think for one second that you can come down here, flash a badge, and make me nervous.

Burdell -- I think bulldogdad is quoting Jack Nicholson from that movie he was in with Tom Cruise.

It's silly but whatever makes him happy, right?

Take caution in your tone, Commander. I'm a fair guy, but this ******* heat is making me absolutely crazy.

Sounds more like he took the Nicholson line "I think we're gonna have to get drunk" to heart.

Unfortunately he displays about the same level of seriousness our alleged leaders in DC display when they involve us in so many unnecessary wars around the world that they are never held accountable for.
