Then you're pro-life and anti-death penalty. Pro-life does NOT encompass both, sorry.

Not the topic of thread, that YOU started by the way.

Anyway, good on the judge to make a ruling you agree with, huh? But when a judge makes a ruling you don't agree with then they're liberal activist judges, right?

One stat that you never hear on the media is that the "death Penalty" phase of trials cost the state the mathematical equivalent of 50 years of incarceration. San Diego County claims that the difference between conducting a "life in prison" trial and a "capital punishment" trial is $1.8 Million, divided by the $35,000 a year that it supposedly takes to house a "lifer". I don't really know if these numbers are true, but I would like to know more.

Well then, you would have to read extensively rather than trust me but I was alive and that was probably the first trial I actually paid attention to. It was sensationalized but if you paid attention at the time and read about it after the fact, his guilt was glaringly obvious. But, as always, others might have a different opinion.

This is awesome news!

Now if California would only quit prosecuting the misguided war on drugs, stop infringing upon the right of people to keep and bear arms, not give drivers licenses to illegal aliens, and be allowed to once again make its own marriage laws, this state might be on the right track.

Unfortunately, the state is run by Democrats and the lefties want to keep people on death row, and put people in prison for drug and gun possession because they are beholden to the prison guards union which seeks job security.

The gay army is another special interest group that is anti state liberty and supported by liberals.

Thank you for this pro-life judge!
OH, so you are for judicial judgements in one case, but not others.

Would you like to be specific, or are even you aware that doing so would be using your patented adiosToreador Deflection Technique(aTDT)?

Would you like to be specific or are you also trying to deflect and derail this thread without actually going all the way?

I have known people who are pro life and anti death penalty. Where is the conflict?

Anyways, on topic.

The state was already on a moratorium for executions due to a previous ruling that the protocol was unacceptable.

The state could still start having executions again - but it will require a major procedural overhaul.

It is simpler to just commute all the sentences of the people on death row.
