Socialism is the government owning the means of production and resources.
More importantly, Socialism is about capturing of Surplus Value (Profit) via heave taxation, and re-distribution of this wealth to re-engineer society to subservents of state.

The culture: "It was a culture that led to this issue. It was not an individual,” he told Reuters.
"Among them is Michael Osterholm, who directs the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and received notice of his dismissal from the board’s executive director, Mary Groesch from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), this past Sunday (July 13). “I don’t know why they do or don’t do things at the NSABB,” Osterholm told ScienceInsider. “I gave up some time ago trying to predict that.”
"Meantime, Frieden is scheduled to testify at a House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing this week, The Washington Post reported. “Each layer we peel back in this investigation seems to reveal a new instance of carelessness in the CDC’s management of dangerous pathogens,” Representative Tim Murphy (R-PA) said in a statement."
@ Lordsquidworth: why are you libs afraid of being exposed as Marxists? Cold War Socialism, which was brutal, is just a variant of Marxism. You can try to dress up current-day liberals as progressive, but they are same-old same-old principles.
That's just lipstick on a pig. If you think like a Marxist, you talk like a Marxist, you are a Marxist.
About Communism and Socialism. I won't even get there.
Oi vei. I get it. Anything that's not chaos, and big fish eating little fish, is communism. Wow, how could I have not realized that before!?
I never referenced Communism in that post.

You don't know what socialism is.
I'm a left-libertarian (modern day "liberal"), and am no where near socialist.
I do not know your own personal definition of Communism or Socialism, because just like the *******, everybody has one. But I do know the classical Marxist definitions, and that of modern European Social-Democrats.
I can stay here all day and teach you boys what a hundred Marxists Scientists, dead or alive, say about Communism and Socialism.
But, it wouldn't be worth it.
