Anyone who doesn't think the NAACP is relevant today should ask themselves why is you never see a cop beating the crap out of white person on the news or why is predatory lending is something banks do to minorities or why is it blacks with cocaine get harsher sentences than whites with cocaine?
I disagree with the bold, but he specifically pointed out that the NRA had requirements to get in, He simply agrees with one set of requirements but not the other. Thats contradictory. And again, its his argument not mine. Im simply showing the hypocrisy in his post based on his own assessment.

The whole racism in mortgage thing is a scam. Blacks have traditionally had double the default rates, worse credit and fewer assets. Thus on average few were good credit risks. Mandating more access simply meant lowering underwriting rules with predictable results. The bankers tried to accommodate the public diktats of both Democrats and Republicans by reducing the inherent risk of making more loans to dubious borrowers and their thanks for it? Racism charges! Darned if you do, darned if you don't.
She goes on about NAACP 'values' but never defines what the values are. If the basic value is the advancement of black people, then certainly that is a value shared by a Deneen Borelli (the beautiful, composed one in the video).
Interesting that you noticed that. She looked beautiful to me, too. And she remained professional and composed in the face of irrational public criticism. That woman (Deneen Borelli) embodies the attributes others should strive to achieve, regardless of race!
African Americans have always been disproportionately poor, less educated, had larger prison populations and been less economically stable by comparison, however when blacks were conservative (not just through voting but through lifestyle choices) they still had lower crime rates, more economic stability, stronger family stability and a smaller prison population, despite being poorer back then compared to now.
Becoming largely Democrat/liberal ideologically has had it's strengths and weaknesses, but at this point, I think it is the problem.
I live in a town of 8,000(metropolitan area of 30,000) All the black kids go to the same 3 elemetary schools, but all races go to the same high school.
In bigger cities, the high schools as well as the elementary schools are based around the communities, so the segregation continues up the latter and doesnt stop at the elementary level like in small southern towns.
