So what exactly do we need a bigger one for? Are we planning to kill a rogue President in his bunker underneath the White House? The 30K is powerful enough, if we need anything bigger, there's nuclear bombs. If we're blowing up nearly impenetrable bunkers, then I think the **** has hit the fan enough to warrant nuclear weapons.

Without the overwhelming force of the US Israel could end up in long and protracted war. The risk is WMD's being lobbed into Israel and if that happens it's all over. Welcome to WW3.

Because of that, Israel won't do anything unprovoked, either.
Israel is not going to allow Iran to become a nuclear power.

That's a big step even if they are being used to target underground facilities. Do you really want to make that step if there is conventional alternatives?

No, it isn't our problem.

1. Iran has no nuclear weapons. IIRC they have some low-level chemical weapons and no biological weapons.

2. Overwhelming force is a good way to escalate things out of control.

3. Israel could already whoop the Iranians' butts without us anyways. Their weapons tech, mostly funded by us, blows Iran's out of the water.

4. No one will want to fight WW3 over Iran/Israel. That's just as stupid as fighting WW3 over Crimea.

Look, we can play the what-if game forever. What if aliens invade and we need a massive weapon to stop them? It's just not that much of a need to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on a new weapon system.

So you can't tolerate Israel being in a protracted war, but you've gladly financed OUR protracted wars.

Seriously, the Israeli jock riding by Americans is flat out creepy.

But but you're anti-Semitic then!!

I see it as a cultural thing. Israel is the only country in the Middle East we can really identify with as white, Judeo-Christian people. (I'm a straight, white, atheist male btw). Meanwhile, conservatives can't tolerate those brown-skinned Palestinians, so kudos to Israel for blowing them up!

Why should the world be any more concerned with the potential for Iran becoming a nuclear power than it is with North Korea already being one? If Israel believes they can dictate what other countries have in their arsenal they should be told they're on their own. Israel creates many of its own problems, they want to be considered different, somehow 'special' as evidenced by their refusal of the NPT, the 'chosen'. If you continually claim to be 'different' you have no business complaining when you're treated differently.

Here we go again! Do we really need a $550 million dollar bomber?
