Liberals hate profit motive. How evil! They should just sit home and pay their fair share. Economic growth is economic freedom and opportunity. Growth creates jobs, new products and encourages progress.

What liberals don’t realize is that profit motive is in no violation of any social contract ever conjured, because

the only way to acquire wealth is through mutual consent. The consumer is pleased and benefited by the product, and the supplier is benefited by the profit they gain.

You can't say that about government!

Capitalists don’t see wealth as a cause for jealousy as liberals do. Hate for a certain people or group of people will get you nowhere in life, and if you make them your enemy, you can be certain they will not cooperate.

The liberal case for treatment of the poor and demonization of the rich is not sustainable, nor is it plausible. What must be understood is that capitalism is the true form of progress. This is why liberal-progressivism is oxymoronic and an enormous contradiction.
This is not always the case.

Capitalism can side on the man or woman who owns a corporation with enough buying power to create a monopoly, in which case they then control the market and it doesn't help the economy as a whole, the nation, or the people who even work there.

It benefits one person, one family, and no one else.

Its why pure unadultered capitalism is bad, as is pure unadultered socialism.

Its why we adopted a combination of both, and that seems to be the best method devised by man, that works.

Some countries (like China) has a powerful communist political party, but even said party doesn't advocate practicing communism.

Socialism:
This is what China practices (though that is quickly changing to a more quasi-socialist/capitalist system). Basically Socialism is when the state owns and runs a lot of thing - just look at China - the state owns everything from banks to your local barber shops, at least until their economic reform. Under socialism, it is almost impossible to be an entrepreneur, instead you go work for the government. If you want to run a restaurant, you begin by petitioning the government to open a restaurant and hire you to run it. You are paid a salary by the government and the government keeps the profit. Under socialism, everyone from your local grocer to the electrician works for the state (I am speaking very generally of course).

Capitalism:
One word: Entrepreneurship. You can start your own business and you keep what you've earned less taxes and fees.

Right wingers call Obama a socialist because 1) they are clueless. 2) they think taxes and fees are socialism when they are a characteristics of capitalism. 3) they hate any Democratic no matter what.

.
See now this is an example of what you get when you ask a question of someone who is more interested in pushing his agenda than he is in actually answering a factual question. He looks like a pathetic idiot to anybody who already knows what he's talking about, but he probably thinks the tidbits of truth sprinkled in with the biased rhetoric will fool less informed readers.

If you do't like them making a profit don't buy their product. It's that simple.

I don't like the what government does but I don't have that choice and have to give my money to them. I don't like that the government gives money to lazy people, they don't do a thing for society, they don't contribute and I don't benefit but I have to pay.

No thats just simplistic BS.

If Exxon Mobile got a monopoly on oil and gasoline in this country, then started to jack up prices, no thats not a good thing, and it has nothing to do with you wanting to buy their product. People need petroleum, people need food. People need water.

No, you're wrong. Capitalism doesn't side with anybody whatsoever. Capitalism is allowing all the individuals in the market to make their own decisions. The only way a monopoly happens is if one source is producing the best quality goods and services at the best prices. In that case it does in fact benefit everyone, because everyone is still making a free choice. If one person is producing the most at the best prices and everyone chooses that source, then everyone benefits. Simple logic.

Artificially created monopolies under a crony capitalist system are the bad things. But it's standard leftist dishonesty to conflate crony capitalism with capitalism. So I expect nothing less from you.

So basically you accused me of telling the truth in a way that you disapproved of.

I'm sure you'll get over it.
