Mister we could use a man like J Edgar Hoover again! This article is rich... a New York times writer blasts J Edgar Hoover and the Bush administration in just a few hundred words... shocking!!! The same company that revealed an intelligence program that was able to track terrorist financing by monitoring international financial transactions (during an ongoing war). Thanks New York Times!! I feel so much safer now that you exposed this sinister Bush administration conspiracy! If J Edgar Hoover were alive today ( and would that he were!) The slime at the New York Times would be at the top of his list.

Default Hoover's legacy.

I just wish the facts had become known sooner. Hoover was never brought to account for some of his nuttier stunts. I remember him calling MLK the country's most notorious liar. Then, when asked to verify this statement, he said he could not because of confidential information! He requested a wiretap on Dr. King from the attorney general and then, when Bobby was running for president, leaked the fact of the wiretap to the press!

The truth is the light.

Tracking international financial transactions that track money going to terrorists is a bad thing?
No fan of J Edger the guy was freak by any measure. I have no issue with the gov tracking international banking. Wonder what other bad deals they found?

The worst of government then and now, how do these people get into power and no one or no agency corrects the situation? History will show that this administration to be the worst and most corrupt with criminals in office throughout.
