Maybe, but it's obvious many don't even read an entire post before hitting reply.

Well, they seem to be agreeing to it except when it's addressed at them.[/quote

You know as well as I do that name calling is common on C-D. You can always report someone if you are offended or grow some thick skin, or ignore it.

Another common occurrence is "blame Bush" when all else fails. That's about as silly to me as is name calling.

My point was not to report someone. My point is to ask if you want to get a point across is name calling the best way to do that?

I get the feeling that you and gretsky99 are only interested in condemning Obama though, and not that these African dictators are doing terrible things.

Name calling does work. Obama, democrats, Reid, Pelosi, Liberal media does it all the time. It works for them.

It doesn't. It's why there is no chance of the two sides agreeing to anything large.

It does work. There are people who still support them, who parrot them and they are still in power. Their blame game works too. The dems and liberal media use it as a tactic every day.

Not really. Any logical person knows when the participants in a debate resort to name calling, it usually means the person doing the name calling has lost the debate. They may think that they've won, but only in their mind.

It is strange though that some of his strongest supporters on here are strangely silent about this.

The reactions to and accusations levied upon Americans with legitimate concerns regarding the Obama administration's policies deflect attention from the real issue. Instead of open, honest debate on substantial issues the Democrats and mainstream media attack the messengers and subject them to name calling.

The left called them racist, nazi's, Astroturf's, tea bagging rednecks, un-American, and list of name calling from the left goes on.

Well the left got their way so it does work.

Where did the Democratic Congress, the Obama administration, and the main stream media learn to act so rudely, obnoxiously, and disingenuously; to call people names, treat others without any common courtesy or manners, and above all else to be deceptive and lie to citizens of the United States?
