or are the cops trying to protect one of their own.
Idk?
Both parties preach solidarity...Did you find it strange that there were reports of residents, while marching, were embracing the Capt. of the special unit who happens to be black. Why is he the outlier?

What I do know is that cops will circle the wagons to protect one of their own.
Right, cops protect their own. And the hood is such a bastion of honesty. Maybe if they want black patrol officers exclusively....they should say so. They seem to think this will remedy incidents like this.
One cop and 2 thugs. This witness was a possible accomplice. I asked on the pinned thread but didnt see the answer. Was mr brown bigger and taller than the police officer? What about his buddy? If they attacked the cop i can see him shooting in self defense.
Even soldiers in combat zone have to follow certain rules of engagement.
Even if this teenager was nothing but a thug, did he deserve to die? He had no guns.
He assaulted a police officer. He was huge. The young, honorable police officer had to protect himself.
Is it likely, even very likely, that a police officer gave chase in pursuit of a petty criminal and that said criminal had a very serious lapse of judgment and grabbed for the police officers gun?
Do citizens have the right to shoot LEO's?
Or anybody in the street over fleeing from a crime for that matter?
It may be callous....but stupid games win stupid prizes and this kid got the top shelf.
No citizens don't have the right to shoot LEO's. LEO's also have rules of engagement that don't include emptying a weapon into a downed suspect.
I'll be interested to see just how many times Brown was shot and how many happened after he was dead.
I am a gun owner and a Vet. I understand the heat of the battle, battle rage etc. I have been in my share of fire fights. The difference of course is mine happened in war.
At this time not many facts are available. I will be interested to see what is discovered.

An honest citizen being assaulted by a LEO has every constitutional right to defend themselves.
