Justin Amash’s absolutely amazing victory speech - The Washington Post

I listened to the speech and although a fan of Rep. Amash, I found the brief speech to be ok but not great. Interesting that the WaPo characterizes it as 'absolutely amazing.' I guess it is a sign of the times that when a US House member just tells the straight truth, DC denizens regard that as 'absolutely amazing.'

Justin Amash is an Arab-American, tea party favorite, and libertarian darling who was even too conservative for the far-right RSC, so started his own 'Liberty Caucus,' which is devoted to "economic freedom, individual liberty, and following the Constitution"

His Chamber of Commerce-backed opponent ran a campaign of mudslinging. Justin Amash prevailed 55-45 in the Michigan 3rd CD.
