Tanks have been spotted in Baghdad and the Presidential Palace has been surrounded by troops as PM al-Maliki accuses the new President Massoud of violating the constitution. It sure looks like al-Maliki has staged a coup. So much for the pronouncements earlier this summer that "Maliki must go" . This can only help ISIS to achieve their goal of seizing Baghdad .
Word I'm reading in Mid-East news is that Maliki called for the extra security before his speech.
This is looking more like a Dictator calling a "State of Emergency" than a "coup".
Sheesh. when ISIS arrives and beheads this guy he will probably realize "oh this may not have been wise"
Maliki and his cronies will be flown first class to the US with their millions in stolen loot before that would ever happen.
Where is Saddam when you need him?
