People have their stereotypes of what those of different skin colors are like and instead of knowing people they choose to believe their stereotypes.
Racism has many facets that are as complex as people. Some people like to feel superior to others. Some haven't really met people very different than them so all they have are what they are told. Others cannot compete in life unless large swaths of the competition are automatically disqualified due to their heritage. It doesn't matter what that heritage is...if the people are black, Hispanic, Irish, German...
Those people cannot see past the superficial.
The ironic thing is that bigots are large champions of freedom of speech and association. However, they frequently whine when people choose not to associate with them and use the freedom of speech to criticize them. They also don't get that bigotry is not a birth trait like black hair, green eyes, or brown skin.
So what the majority of people in this country may be bi-racial someday? Wont affect me, especially seeing how I'm already a minority anyway. I'm not killing myself because I find less people around who look like me compared to those of other races.
Besides, the majority of us are mixed with something in some way, anyway.
I honestly don't see what the problem would be.
