I am not presenting this as statistical data. Never mentioned that. I searched "students attacking teachers" and this is what came up. There were others from other the years.
That is my point. Do you think those searches are pure? Do you think the videos are listed without agenda? There are many millions more unwed white mothers in the US than unwed black mothers. Yet, if you run a search on "unwed mothers" and merely take "what comes up," almost all of them will be black. The people who submit the videos have their agenda, and that's not filled by videos of white women or videos of white kids acting out.

I'm black and I agree with this pastor. Even when I had run-ins with the police that I found to be questionable or BS, I just kept my cool and talked things out. It always turns out just fine. I've saw dudes try get smart mouthed or "tough" with a cop then it gets out of hand. Common sense should tell people some things.
The irony is that so many black thugs are really soft mamas boys at heart. They can have a record a mile long and mama will be "shocked" or "upset" when her son is a suspect. When some guy gets killed, mama is always there proclaiming he was or had just "turned his life around." Lies.
Too many black women make excuses for their kids.
Here's another problem in the black community. There are women who chose to be with "thugs" over the "shirt and tie brothers" for the dumbest of mythical reasons. They claim thugs make them feel protected, perform better in bed, and are more exciting. This makes absolutely no sense because the woman is actually constantly at risk of being caught up in violence involving the rivals of her "thug." The other two reasons (bedroom performance and exciting) make no sense and depends on the individual. Most thugs I know just want to sit at home all day or hang on the block drinking and smoking. When they do go out, it's to some hole in the wall ghetto club. How is that exciting?
I will say this though. While the % of blacks who think that way is still far to high, as 2nd trick op, said on the first page, there are also a lot more blacks than people realize who actually agree with the Pastor.
but they pay deep south poor wages in metro atlanta and corporate america is charging high rents on the south side of atlanta.but the whites run clayton county still so they got to take a lot of the blame. i still have a condo in morrow,ga i know all about clayton .but they got a hellish expensive commute because the better paying jobs are way up north,tell the whole story here
I'm sorry, but you do not know what you are talking about. The high rents are in the affluent north side. I just went through the rigmarole of searching for a rental house close to where I work-- old national highway near the airport. I could get bargain deals in College Park, East Point, Hapeville, etc, but those areas are not safe, so I ended up paying about 30% more for Cobb county. They're not called "affluent" areas because they have cheap rent.
Also, Clayton county is no longer "run" by whites, and hasn't been for YEARS. Rember that whole Victor Hill thing that happened a few years ago where the newly-elected black sheriff had the white officers escorted off the premises with snipers on the roof

A friend of mine used to teach in an affluent (mostly white) school district. When she gave students well deserved bad grades, parents would bully her to convince here to give the kid a better grade. They could not fathom that their little angels would not do their homework, or study, or complete assignments.
Poor students come in all shapes and sizes, yet is never hear anyone trying to go on and on about how this behavior is typical for upper class white students, yet I have heard similar stories from teachers and former students at different schools with similar demographics ......

Good points. I suspect you are right in that a lot of black people agree with the pastor.
As to why women prefer "thugs" over "shirt and tie brothers," who knows?
Wild men have always held a certain appeal for women, regardless of race. Just as some men prefer wild women over steady, nurturing types.
But there is a difference between a wild man, say an ironworker, or a smoke jumper, or a Seal... and a guy who lays around drinking, doing drugs, and who knows what else.
For some reason, P. Diddy and J.Lo comes to mind and how it was all fun and games until that gun business, then she was out of there.

I've first-hand experienced both sides here. I grew up in a private (all white) school in an affluent part of Boston. When I was in 8th grade, we moved to Tampa, then 2 years later to Atlanta where I finished up high school. Both public high schools (also in "affluent" areas) both included a much more diverse student body. What you're describing is flipped. The white parents paid more money and were much, MUCH more invested in their child's studies. We were held to much higher standards. When I arrived at public school, not only were standards more lax, students regularly did not do homework or assignments because they knew there wouldn't be any consequences. But you can bet their parents would come in and raise a stink if god forbid their son or daughter got a bad grade that they rightfully deserved.
I now work in a predominantly black office and see the same trends have followed. Lower standards and less accountability. Stop trying to spin things unless you've ACTUALLY spent half your life in one world and the other half in another and can accurately pinpoint the differences in each. You think that it's white people who have no real-world experience with blacks that have these negative views of black culture. It's the opposite-- I didn't understand either until I moved down here why people think the way they do.After getting immersed in the culture (I was even in a majority black sorority in college) I can see first hand the scale of self-defeating behaviors that run rampant here.
Sorry to be bluntly honest about this but my fellow transplants often feel the same. Back home in the much less diverse hometowns in Ohio, Minnesota, Seattle and Denver, none of us could understand how white people could still be so "mean to blacks" and why white flight would still be happening in 2013,2014....now that we're here in Atlanta, we understand. For the sake of your own sanity you often have to stay away from all the nonsense that comes with dealing with heavily "diverse" areas. And it sucks, in so many ways. It shouldn't be like that. But until there's accountabilty and less tolerance for nonsense, it will be.
