I've read so many times where people from other countries are complaining about America not doing enough for them. Everyones so accustomed to us running to every other countries defense. If America stopped, what would happen to all of these other countries? It seems they complain more than they are appreciative of all the help they do get, the very most we give them are the deaths of our military personnel. I never read or hear of anyone from other countries being grateful or condolences for the lives lost while defending them.

Why should they be grateful?

What we do in other countries is for our benefit, not their benefit.

Our soldiers die for American corporate and defense interests.

Beautiful Lusik “Lucy” Usoyan is a Yazidi now living in the US and working as a paralegal in University Place, Washington.

The Yazidi are a Kurdish speaking minority whose religious beliefs trace to Zorastrianism, which is heresy to the Islamist. Will the US honor Colin Powell's 'pottery barn rule:' you broke it, you bought it.' This is our responsibility to address.

It's not up to America to pacify the middle east. They've been killing one another for millennia and show no signs of being satisfied with the slaughter. I predict it will continue long beyond the lifetime of anyone currently alive.

Of course, they could stop tomorrow. They've always had that option, but have never exercised it.
