This is beyond ridiculous! I will continue to support my favorite NFL team the Redskins, and wear their jerseys, etc. Many fans will no longer support the team if they change the name. This whole thing is just a waste of time.

Yeah, where are those confounded conservatives?

They must surely be racists for even acknowledging that team name.

Then you have the majority of the DC area, most liberal, who happen to be fans and love their Redskins apparell. RG3 is no longer a Redskin?

What team did Joe Gibbs coach and what team did Riggins play for?

If Sonny Jurgeson objects to the name he is most likely drunk.

There was a pro-Redskins commercial aired last night, doesn't seem like they are willing to go peacefully.

Change the name - The Washington Warriors is fine - it is not about the number of people who are offended - it is not just an "Indian" name like Cleveland - or a celebration name like the Atlanta Braves - it is offensive by term alone and should not be the team name of the football team of the capital of the United States.
I won't watch them - or purchase team "stuff" - until they do

Fans aren't going anywhere with a name change.

With that level of sensitivity how can you rationalize watching such a violent sport as football and its boastful winners and saddened losers........ week after week?

Here's one Cherokee that doesn't consider it offensive but actually considers it a compliment. Are you a Native American? If not, what's your beef?
