Conscription laws are unconstitutional. Just because something exists does not mean it is legitimate. This is especially true when dealing with governments. Conscription was recognized as being unconstitutional when the Federal Government tried in vain to implement it in the War of 1812. As Daniel Webster stated at the time...
"The administration asserts the right to fill the ranks of the regular army by compulsion...Is this, sir, consistent with the character of a free government? Is this civil liberty? Is this the real character of our Constitution? The draft was eventually illegally implemented by Abraham Lincoln along with the suspension of the Constitution in his illegal war against the southern States.
Government is not legal, it is not fair, it is not reasonable, it is unreasonable brute force, and can only be constrained in its actions by the refusal of the people to abide by the laws which are immoral and depraved.
What the world needs now is 315 million people living together pursuing their individual perception of freedom and liberty. What could possibly go wrong?
You make it more trouble than it's worth to quote you when you put your quotes inside of mine so I will just note, it's irrelevant what is Constitutional when people agree to it and don't say no.
In case they did not teach you in your public education, it is the Constitution that creates the government, when you say it is irrelevant what is in the Constitution, you are saying that we are no longer a government by and for the people, but a dictatorship in which the government is the master of the people.
Of course this can only happen when people become so ignorant and disenfranchised that they believe that what is written in the Constitution is irrelevant. Unfortunately your opinion is shared by a large portion of the population and is enabling government to become a tyrant.

The founders of this country had a 4 million population in mind and not 315 million population as we have today. I don't understand what's so appealing in anarchy? Crime? Danger?
No they didn't which is why they created the amendment process.
I spent years volunteering at a hospital detox/ rehab. This much I know. Rehabs are business, big business. Rehabs don't cure addiction. Court ordered treatment and urine tests are a joke.
More people get and stay clean in the AA and NA rooms and Salvation Army, than anywhere else. They remain one lousy decision away from a relapse. 12 Steps and non 12 step programs work when worked. There is no magic cure for addiction to any substance.
The only countries that have put a dent in drugs are those who take the hardest line against it and they don't spend a lot of money doing it. They give their people choice, don't use/ traffic or associate with those who do or experience severe consequences. Most choose to live without drugs and shun anyone who does. It's simply not culturally acceptable.
Never going to happen in the US because there's too much money being made off it. And this includes the shareholders of big pharma.
The answer to all our problems is already available. Badge cams.
Costly but substantially cheaper than litigation.
