Every time I go to the store and see the hordes of illegals that have come to my state, I remind myself to be grateful that our "immigrants" are mostly north Americans Catholics that share much of the same European values, culture and heritage of the US. It will be much, much harder for Europe to absorb Middle Eastern Muslims than it will be for us to make "americans" out of our imported work force.
You seem to be anticipating something that is definitely not a certainty at all.
There is a very long history of Muslim extremism rising and vanishing in a generation's time. The middle east will settle down from it's current widespread unrest, and when it does, there will be a lot of Muslims in Europe who will move back to their mother countries. Those who stay will become increasingly westernized.
I admit that is not a certainty either, but there are many equally powerful forces at play, and they are not all in the radical Muslims favor.
