You're winning hearts and minds with that warm and welcoming description of your perspective, dd. All by yourself, you're on track to repair the race relations rift in this country that was forced open to grand canyon proportions by the current administration. Keep up the good work!
I don't care about race relations. Never have and never will.
It's unimportant to me. I only care about personal relationships.

I'm doing quite well...And I didn't have to listen to Sharpton to get here.
Ask someone else that might need to listen..not me.
I'm not so sure. I think you do care, but not in the right way. I think you want things to get worse, so your perpetual victim mentality can be continuously validated.
But I'm just some guy on the Internet. What do I know?

Nothing.
If they get better or worse, it makes me no nevermind. I'm not obsessed with the idea that the races should all get along. I only care about getting along with my friends and contacts.
If whites or anyone else don't like me, it's meaningless. They can go suck an egg.
Victim mentality? No one has ever victimized me. You've got the wrong poster.
Some of you hear ONLY what you wanna hear. Once you label someone a certain way you, stick to it no matter what.
Sharpton has been saying this stuff for 14 or 15 straight years. He said not one damn thing in that eulogy that I hadn't heard him say before.
When he had his radio show on XM many moons ago, he said all this same stuff routinely. You're all just effin' tone deaf.
There has been no "gear changing" by Sharpton. You guys just finally earned enough money to afford a box of Q-tips.
Congratulations.
If he has been saying it for years, it has been a small part of what he says. I will say I haven't heard everything he's said for a while because he completely destroyed any credibility he had. That's his fault, not mine. As for this, I credit him.

Will be interesting to see how these remarks ultimately get received. I know in the past other black leaders have said very similar things and were pilloried for it. I actually agree with what he said there, perhaps with a bit less rhetoric and hyperbole but it's similar to what I've been saying for - well ever.
Who are these "black leaders" and what did they say? Truth be told most black folk know this. It's the small percentage that don't who will take some time to understand...

You just said that you haven't listen to him in a while (translation: I've never heard him say anything in my life) so you don't know whether it's a small part or not. Your opinion is coming from a rear body orifice.

3 blacks heard the speech. So don't be so presumptuous.
