They were effing in Effingham County, and weren't caught in the act but admitted to it. No charges should have been laid against two consenting adults (20 and 25).
Somebody please enlighten me: if the sexual activity was consensual - and the two persons involved aren't married to other persons - and neither is mentally deficient etc. - then exactly why is this behavior a crime?
There are many things which are repulsive and perhaps even barbarous, but which nevertheless should not be illegal.
As much as I winced reading the headline, I have to agree with this.
If they were brothers the lefties would be supporting their "choice", oprah would have them on next week.
This isn't about "lefties", you don't get it.
Gays regularly target sibling or first-cousin marriages and they even made a map on their banners with "progressive America" which bans it and punishes such practices, and "degenerate America" which allows it.
They often feature it next to the progressive/degenerate America banners that feature states that allow or ban gay marriages. Gays are the last people who will support sex among siblings or their right to marry solely for the purpose of "common enemy".
Sibling and cousin marriages are NOT part of marriage equality, because people who lead the movement are of the same mentality as those who oppose it, they need a common enemy, that's something so ever-present ever since humans started to organize and socialize with each other.
I guess even if there were no sex orientation differences, no skin color differences, no religious differences, no political differences, no gender differences, no height or eye color differences, people would still find a good reason to divide and start with new hostilities, i.e. because of the size of their feet (and don't worry, people will be eager to kill each other because of it).
It's like if David Allen Coe wrote an early 80s John Cougar Mellencamp song...
