Yes, since your post that I responded to did not indicate that you knew this.

We all know that FOX is the number one science denier in the mainstream media and more responsible for the Dumbing Down of America than any other media outlet.

Nice blog BTW, saving that reference.
Not swallowing the "global warming" (now known as "climate change") baloney is not being a science denier.

Not a single cd poster that posts about "science deniers" has a clue about science. They read their blogs, are told what to say, then march off to various forums like the good little bots they are and spew absolute nonsense. It's hilarious to watch but pointless to argue with them as they really are completely clueless about what science is.

California is now in the third year of record drought; which does not bode well for the agricultural well-being of the nation.
I have lived in Southern California all my life. The ocean temperatures are about the same now as they were 40 or so years ago.

The scan below is a page of the weather section from the Los Angeles Times dated July 12, 1975. Note the ocean temperatures (67 and 68 degrees) shown in the lower right.

To a depth of 14,000 feet?

Actually, it's to a depth of 36,069 feet (the Mariana Trench).

Ice shelves melt all the time, "calving" icebergs that, no matter how enormous, do not effect sea level. Because floating ice displaces the same volume of water as melted ice, iceberg that formed from floating ice on Antarctica's vast ice shelves add no volume to the ocean. The ice shelves in Antarctica prevent the land ice from calving into the ocean. The concern is that the ice shelves breaking up will allow the land bound glaciers access to the sea.
Affect, not "effect," as explained earlier.

Well it seems that those who wish to propose either side of the argument have presented their case so far. Looking at small time spans makes one wring their hands. Looking at the whole of planetary history makes one see that this occurrence is normal and part of an endless repeating pattern of global warming/cooling. And the normal warming will be very bad news for the newcomers on the planet, humans, even if we went back to being hunters/gatherers.

And it is clear that neither side will yield to the other's selected evidence. The earth WILL return to its normal high of about 77F, whether man exists or doesn't. How we try to adapt to what is coming one way or the other is another story completely.
