Indeed, it does. The school provided Muslim students with an unrequested prayer room. That crosses the line of legality by encouraging religious devotion to only one religion.

What's the big deal? If public schools provide for one religion, they must provide the same for all. Religion-based discrimination is illegal.

There is no law that says that provisions have to be made for ALL religions. It's an impossible standard.

How does asking students to keep their activities from disrupting other students equal "encouraging religious devotion to only one religion"????

Answer: It doesn't.

Because giving students a room to use for 10 MINUTES around lunchtime equates to having a mosque????

Correct and the same has been said countless times on this thread, yet some do not seem to be able to grasp the simple concept. Go figure.

This would be being selective.....they can't do this either. So, now rooms need to be provided for all including those who praise the Spaghetti Monster. They're opening up a can of worms!

School is for learning they can take their religious prayers and pray in silent like everyone else does.

What difference does it make the name they call the room? Prayer room, chapel, mosque... Just curious.
