It is amazing people were able to survive before the government was around to protect them.
I remember when we didn't wear seat belts, bike helmets, hard hats, steel toe boots, safety glasses or put on sun block to go out and get the mail. We didn't put it on before spending all day at the beach. Heck, we swam in the wild and wonderful Mediterranean and there were no lifeguards. Little girls went topless just as their brothers did.
I remember before the law required cars have 5 mph bumpers, catalytic converters, unleaded gas and we didn't have picture IDs. Gas was under a dollar in the 80s.
There are a lot of other things that would shock those under 30 to death but I, like your parents, are around to tell the tales.

Some would have you believe that the streets were clogged with dead with bodies piled as high as buildings before we had a nearly infinite amount of regulations.

But who will tell me what size drink I can consume? Or what color I can paint my house?
You don't want me to think on my own, do you? Sounds dangerous.

Some would make us believe that before regulation are air and waters were cleaner.
Are you an MD, epidemiologists or a biochemist? If not, what makes you think you know anything on the subject?
Who says the FDA is?
Why on earth would I trust an agency with a SWAT team? Especially one that treats people who sell raw milk like they're criminals? That alone invalidates them completely.
Let me get this straight... Someone who is going to invest millions in creating a factory and market clothing is going to be a garden variety scammer?
Some days you have to wonder what people have been smoking.
Some days there is no doubt at all... "Let me sell this thing that intentionally kills all of my customers" Now that is a solid business plan.
