“Why?” Why does Israel not share the concern it has over Palestinians, Iranians, Syrians, and Lebanese with al-Nusra, ISIS, and al-Qaeda? Why do these groups wage jihad against Israel’s enemies but not against Israel itself?

Because no matter how one names the group, the leaders are acting in a tribal manner to be a top tribe and gain power & money. The sheeple that follow them, do so to cleanse the world of Sunni's or Shiite. To them, non- Muslims who support the opposing group are secondary and non-muslims are third. This is the reality of the area and not the smoke & mirror the Palestinian issue want the outside world to believe. Israel is not blind to the real issues as the US & EU seem to be thinking that mere words will resolve an issue.

Because Israel would clean their clock in a very short time and they know it!

ISIS is determined to establish a new caliphate throughout the Middle East.

A caliphate is exactly the same as an empire, but it includes, instead of a King or Emperor, a Caliph. A Caliph is one single ruler who is both the civil and religious leader of the empire.

ISIS wants to overthrow all the Kings, Presidents, and Prime Ministers who presently govern all the nations of the Middle East.

Essentially, they want a return to the way things were over a century ago, when the only central government in the Middle East was the Ottoman caliphate, which ruled from Istambul. This makes ISIS different from Al-Quieda and all the other, earlier militant extremist organizations we have come to know over the past decade.

They all wanted their conservative religious views to triumph, but they never sought one united empire. This is much the same as the Catholic-Protestant split of the Reformation in Europe; Catholics fought Protestants for 100 years there before the issue was settled.

The Middle East has as many variations of Islam as Christianity has in the West. ISIS wants to have control over all Muslims, and they intend to get it by any means, including terror. That's why they are slaughtering any and all opposition wherever they gain a foothold. Like the conquerors of old, they go after the smallest and weakest religious minorities first, and have been killing them hundreds at a time when they can.

They aren't concerned about Israel. In their minds, the Jews can wait for their turn, which will come after their current goals are accomplished.

Their original name was: Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

They have since widened their scope to the entire region, which was once known as the Levant, the old name that disappeared after the region was arbitrarily carved up after World War I into the countries that now exist.

Their current name, ISIL means: The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

Obviously, they intend Iraq to be the new seat of the Caliphate. The old Ottoman seat is the present nation of Turkey, which became democratic after Mustafa Attaturk, an officer in the Ottoman army, became the the ruler after WWI and reformed the government as a democracy. Turkey, the new nation, was named after Attaturk, just as Bolivia was named after the great S. American reformer, Simon Bolivar.

Since Turkey is fully committed to democracy and is the largest Muslim military power in the region, ISIL isn't going to mess with it until they have conquered the Saudis, the AER, Jordan, Iran, Egypt, and all the other less powerful nations. According to their plan, they will need the armament from all those countries to face Turkey, then Israel.

These guys are not from one nation. They are an international group of extremely conservative and militant Muslims who have come together from all over the region, parts of Africa, and parts of the West, including members from Europe and the Americas. The single thing they share is good old-fashioned Jihad in the most classic sense. This is something no one living has seen, as it's been over 100 years since the Middle East had a single ruling government.

Crazy thinking? maybe. By their reckoning, if they move fast enough they can do it. Iraq showed them speed and ferocity wins, at least in their minds.

Don't expect to see the Sheiks of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the King of Jordan, or the other nations to sit by and let the United States handle this one alone. They are realizing they're all next, one by one, and they will do their share of the heavy work pretty fast now.

Groups like ISIS have the islamic community fighting against itself and not Israel. ISIS is rather pre-occupied with taking over territory in Iraq and Syria. Basically your question is kind of the same as asking why the New York Giants don't have a game plan to play the Milwaukee Brewers.
