They were a cash only clinic that cared for people who didn't have insurance. Now more people have insurance -either through an insurance company or expanded Medicaid. I suspect their patient loss is mainly due to expanded Medicaid. They averaged 4,000 patients/year and are now down to 3,000. 4,000/year is only 16 per day.
What's happening, is that people are either having to pay the fine, or pay for insurance, which means they have no money for health care.
You can afford insurance or health care. Take your pick.
People with Medicaid go to the ER for sore throats and bug bites as no doctor will see them.
People with ACA insurance can't afford to use it.
LOL.
Many of them have care. Period. Before? Many of them just DIED. You know got sick, tried to make their way through it, and by the time they went to the ER (accepting the massive bill that would destroy them)...it was too late.
And no doctor will see them if they have medicaid? Really? How odd as locally tons of people are seeing Dr's while covered by medicaid. Where do you live?
People cant afford to use it? You really have no idea, you're just regurgitating what someone else is telling you.

Actually he is right, and this ACA fear is getting thin. Having health insurance is much better than not having health insurance. I am sure you guys will continue to think that ACA is some horrible thing and that providing health insurance to the American people is somehow bad for the American people, but thankfully the population of the people who don't want health insurance is shrinking and people are wanting to see ACA go further than it does now.

You do realize that this Medicaid expansion isn't an improvement over being uninsured, right?
It's still really too early to know what's happening, and to claim so many more people are covered. All the mandates have been postponed until after Obama leaves office. That timing alone has to make inquiring minds wonder why.
We'll see what is what when the individual/company mandates and all the additional taxes go into effect.

You are wrong as well.
Why do you write the stuff above, when you factually know it isn't true?

Again, you are wrong, but continue to believe you are right so there is nothing I can do to help you. So if I am "factually" untrue, then I can only assume you have these "facts" you keep talking about.

My sister would disagree with you. She suffered a heart attack in May. Lucky for her, the Republican governor of Michigan changed his mind and expanded Medicaid a mere two weeks before her medical emergency, and not only was she was covered for the week she spent in ICU, she has also been covered for all the follow up care since then. She's doing really well, but without Medicaid not only would she be under massive bills she couldn't possibly ever repay, but she would have not gotten any follow up care because she couldn't have afforded it.
To say the expansion of Medicaid isn't an improvement to being uninsured is utter BS to the people whose lives have been helped/saved by it.
