Let's all take a trip down memory lane. When W. invaded Iraq, the Coalition of the Willing was thirty countries. Despite that fact, liberals soiled their panties and claimed Wild West George W. Bush was "going it alone" in the Middle East.

My guess is we won't hear anything of the sort from our hypocritical and intellectually dishonest friends on the left.
Another home run of a post from Trace! Keep up the good work!

It is truly mind-boggling how incompetent this President really is. The fact that millions still support him is a damning indictment on the future of our country.

I have to wonder if this was Obama's built in escape hatch. Proclaim to the country a willing coalition knowing no willing coalition exists, thereby giving him the escape he needs to say, " Sorry, the world doesn't want to help Iraq and Syria and there's nothing I can do to change that."

This is Obama's new "red line" that he never intends to defend.

Europe is not in any financial condition to go back to war.
Their people would be livid that they would have to pay to go and clean up another US mess.
And their politics are such that they'd all be out of office the next election.

Just great. We'll train them and arm them and then watch them defect.
Maybe McCain will fly over and take another picture with them.....

The Coalition of the Willing consisted of Fiji and Botswana..

Gimme a break.

One donated a first aid kit, the other donated a pair of pliers.

That seems to be the thing that gets the Republicans in Congress all warm and fuzzy feeling. The Syrian Defense minister spoke today and spoke the truth: the US needs to reset its affairs with Assad and work together against a common enemy. He further states that choosing sides in this war is a risky business. We should know that already - Obama did once and stayed out of it for the most part. Now he and the Congress are about to blunder into a mess worse than we have now.

France might help. Thats my mother country so I do wish them well

"In Iraq... we support the formation of an inclusive government. We will participate if necessary in an aerial military action," French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Wednesday in a speech in Paris.

He added that several hundred French jihadists have joined the IS, formerly known as ISIS, and pose a domestic threat that the French government regards as serious.

The minister added that while Paris is working close with the government in Baghdad, a similar cooperation cannot happened with President Bashar Assad of Syria, “because he has an established link" with IS.
