Really, if someone knows they're HIV positive and choose to have unprotected sex that's a criminal act!
In Canada you would be charged with aggravated assult and if anyone dies from the HIV that was given to them, the charge is murder!

According to the chart that HIV Law and Policy has one their web-site about State Laws ....

Washington State would consider this a Felony and the man would have to register as a Sex Offender.

State Law Chart for HIV Laws - as of 2013

HIV Law & Policy is an advocate organization that is against Criminal Laws for HIV positive individuals. I don't know why they worry, when "Law" really doesn't mean much anymore. Judges & Government officials just Cherry Pick what they like and ignore what they don't like.

It's a part of our Transformed America.

If he didn't inform the people he was sleeping with first (in which case this is stupid as hell but not criminal per se) then he should be brought up on murder charges.

If he raped those people and forced them to have unprotected sex, that's one thing.

But if you aren't in a long term monogamous relationship, you should always treat your partners like they are HIV positive and use a condom!

Of course he should have been honest, and if he infected them while they were using protection, then this would be a different story!

But those people have themselves to blame for putting their health at risk by trusting this man to be honest and engaging in dangerous risky sex.
