Angola banned mosques/Islamic worship last year (statistics, radical, Somali)

Africa may become the first Muslim majority continent. The presence of radical Islam did not bode well for Mali, Somalia, Nigeria, CAR, and many other nations. Angola took a radical step. What do you think about it?

Actually, Christianity is the fastest growing religion in Africa. Compare African statistics from 1900, when Muslims outnumbered Christians, to 2000, when Christians outnumbered Muslims.

The constitution protects freedom of religion, and I support the constitution. Banning mosques is a bad idea from every angle.

I counted the numbers 5 years ago. Here is the list of majority muslim countries in Africa :

-Mauritania
-Morocco
-Algeria
-Tunisia
-Libya
-Egypt (more than 60 million muslims)
-Chad ( 50% muslim )
-Niger
-Senegal
-Guinea
-Mali
-Sudan
-Nigeria ( actually 50% muslim but in more than 170 million people )
-Somalia
-Djibouti
-Eritrea
-Comoros
-Ethiopia ( actually 50% muslim but in more than 100 million people )

Then you have to add the 3 millions in Kenya, 2 millions in Benin, and several millions scattered throughout Sierra Leone, Liberia, Tanzania, Guinea Bissau, Togo, Mauritius, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, knowing that each one of those countries has between 15% and 30% muslims. That's a lot more than the christians or the pagans.

I understand that there are muslim majority countries but if you're going to make a statement about the entire continent then your data has to reference the entire continent of 54 nations. You mentioned that ~20 have muslim majorities. That doesn't allow us to conclude that the entire continent is majority muslim. Btw Ghana, my home country, also has around 30% muslims. It's important to note, however, that many people who are muslim or christian by day are still pagan by night.

Um... haven't most of these countries been majority Muslim for a long time?
