No, Glacierx. Keep in mind that all life depends on a delicate balance of the great forces of nature. With these elemental forces, it only takes a small change to result in catastrophic meteorological events causing destruction and devastation across the continents. What the scientists warned was that we must reduce the carbon emissions or face the consequences. The earth has the capacity to restore the depleted ozone; but it could not happen unless we stopped spewing industrial gases into the atmosphere at the current rate. But it is too late to act now, for the consequences of our delay have been visited upon us. The earth was speaking to us; but we did not listen.

We are past the tipping point in the natural balance; and there is nothing that can be done to counteract the colossal elemental forces now set in motion - it is unstoppable. All that can be done at this late date is to deal with the inevitable consequences that are predictable, if not calculable to a mathematical certainty. It is only a matter of time.

Do you put your hands over your ears and close your eyes when you say it like that?

It depends upon who you are.

Let's make the assumption that AGW is real. Here are the two situations:

If we make the cuts that will "fix" global warming, supplies will dwindle and the cost of groceries will skyrocket. The rich will be fine, the middle class will struggle and the poor will be in for a crap storm.

If we don't make the cuts that will "fix" global warming, supplies will dwindle and the cost of groceries will skyrocket. The rich will be fine, the middle class will struggle and the poor will be in for a crap storm.

No, Mr. PedroMartinez: Global warming does not depend upon who you are; for you, it depends upon where you are. It doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, the consequences are the same.

In the real world, it does matter.

In the real world, these things impact people in different economic classes on different levels.

Wow.

No, Ed from California, it is not not me, but you. We share life in the same state; we should at least acknowledge the facts - facts that we are facing first-hand.

Um, no. I'm Ed *from* California. I left your cesspool of a state and live where we have lots of water, farmland, and livestock. You can wallow in your state's demise where you'll be fighting for scraps of food against the hoards of illegals you embrace. Meanwhile, stop posting BS and outright lies and start hoarding food. You only have months left to live.

The average temperature in Antrctica is -70 degrees F. It has to warm quite a bit before ice won't form.

It will be a fact for you when you are visited with the consequences. Then, you see, it will be a real problem - one that we should have done something about when we had the chance. It's too late now.
