LOL...okay, first, why do bananas have to be racially motivated? When I seen this I was thinking who made that connection?
This is something that commonly happens in soccer games in Europe, fans throwing bananas at black players. A few years ago a Montreal Canadiens fan threw a banana at Steve Weekes in a playoff game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
who cares if they are in northern or southern states. the key is that they were white males. thats the focal point, white males and there inherent racism.

the object of the bananas was to rile the other team, i think its a wicked idea, if the other team can't handle some bananas then they got bigger problems, you could call it racist, i don't think so, it was just to rile the team, it ought to make the banana team meaner and bust some heads on the field. nobody could say anything about couple illegal hits on the field. paybacks hell. but racist, naw that just a cop out excuse, oh he hurt my feeling. well feeling and a dollar might buy a cup of coffee
