Paycheck Fairness Act Blocked Again By Senate GOP

I assess the three main points below

Quote:
The Paycheck Fairness Act would ban employers from retaliating against employees who share salary information with each other
Government overreach. Haven't Democrats burdened businesses with enough regulations?

Quote:
impose harsher penalties for pay discrimination
Valid

Quote:
and require employers to be able to show that wage gaps between men and women are based on factors other than gender.
So basically, burden employers with more regulations and red tape. Democrats just don't understand how business works. While I appreciate the creative name, I can see why it's getting nowhere. So basically a business might potentially have to justify every single instance where a man makes more than a woman. On top of the burdens imposed by Obamacare and our complex and oppressive tax structure, let's make businesses spend a few hundred million more for our feel good legislation.

Democrats, I propose a new name, how about the "We're going to lose the Senate this November, so Let's Name this Bill Something Controversial, so when the GOP votes against it, we can tell voters that the GOP is against equal pay" Act.

This type of meddling legislation does wonders for job creation.

Life is unfair.

You can't legislate "fairness".

Everyone should be self employed!!!!!!!!!!!!

We would not have government all up in our business as free people, if everyone were.

Haha, if you have to use force to make it fair, it is unfair Seems like a vicious cycle.

I know it is odd to wonder how these silly little tyrants come up with these laws. Normal people forget that these tyrants have nothing to do with their lives other than to think up ways to destroy our lives, they are narcissistic, megalomaniacal, psychopaths after all. They must think that the little serfs just sit around wide-eyed all the days of their lives waiting for their next command. We must have nothing at all to do, no life at all, unless we are being ordered to do one thing or another to please them.

It is already illegal to pay a woman less than a man for the same amount of work. Why do we not simply enforce the laws we have as opposed to creating new ones we won't enforce?
