Our leaders are trying to keep votes in their party... Republicans and democrats...they don't want to hurt their chances to stay in power.. they don't care about the United States or its people. We are going down the tubes slowly and it is getting worse. Millions of illegals, anchor babies ensuring them all family welfare benefits, free bees and the middlclass is paying for it.. they will too become poor as their buying power shrinks for paying taxes.

no--- rome was much smarter. and they were better parents. they disciplined their kids.
and that my friend is our undoing, our utterly untrained ungrown unskilled lazy uncouth boorish kidults
butthead and beevis are not good future leaders of our nation, not even good followers. they are of very little use.
we thought the greatest generations were clowns and that all that discipline was for chumps.
we thought blue collar work was fools work-- dirty and beneath us.
we thought unions were useless.
we thought drugs were harmless
and manners and formality worthless
our greatest curse on them was our total acceptance of blame and shame over the last 40 years for past social wrongs.
there will be a price to pay for all these lies.

Really, nations don't exactly fall. Rome didn't just cease to exist. It was a Republic first, then became an empire. It grew too large, and split into two separate empire. Then Christianity infiltrated western Rome, and it slowly became the Vatican. There were periods of anarchy, more or less, but things don't really fall. They evolve. Sure, some places literally do become abandoned. Even in the last century, we've see that happen for various reasons. But entire nations don't really disappear. They can split into pieces or taken over.

Take a look at the Soviet Union. The ghost of Soviet communism still haunts areas of Europe and Asia. And really, Russia hasn't changed all that much. Then there's the United Kingdom. During (or was if after) WWII, their empire stopped being an empire and colonization and occupation of various places in the Middle East and Africa ended.

So, are we becoming Rome? No. We've always been Rome. And Persia. And the USSR and UK. All nations are. They change and adapt, sometimes for the worst.

The British Empire evolved into something called the Commonwealth of Nations which calls some 30 odd nations (major nations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa) as members (comprising much of the area under the Union Jack before WW2) 19 members of the Commonwealth still accept the British Sovereign Queen Elizabeth II ER as their Head of State ( i.e. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Bahamas, Malta, Jamaica, Trinadad and Tabago, Fuji, Samoa etc..) Britain can consider itself as a leader in international trade, business and finance (particularly in the area of reinsurance) , culture and the sciences and technology (Britain only trail the USA in the number of Nobel Lauriates).

No way forward......the corruption and insanity of 99% of the power-mad "leaders" of this country makes for a country that has NO WAY of righting the ship.

Most of the decent/conservative Politicians on the R side...turn into Phonycons/Globalhawks when they want to move up the ladder.

Let us stop to consider that tranquility at home is more precious than peace abroad, and that both our good fortune and our eminence are dependent on the normal forward stride of all the American people.
A Return to Normalcy will result in the most prosperous time in US history.
