People stretched for four miles down Central Park West, and only small articles appeared in any of the so-called "liberal media". Most of those were fluff pieces showing the party at ground level, but skirting the issue that brought 400,000 people together in New York for the rally. There are six corporations that own the media in this country, and they all answer to Wall Street.

97% of the scientists who have studied Climate Change say that Global Warming is a very real phenomenon. There will be a cost associated with curtailing the causes if it is ever admitted to be fact, and Wall Street doesn't want to talk about it. This is a perfect example of how the media and government are being controlled by Big Money. Global Warming is real, and the media is ignoring it. ALL of the media. They're all in it together.

They probably did not think so many would show up, especially after seeing the right-wing protests that were going to bring in hundreds of thousands of marchers and only a couple of dozen even showed up.

1. This one has been shown to be false time and time again.

2. ????? You're just now realizing this? Hey the MEDIA are in on a lot of things. Now it's a problem when it something that concerns you? Eff the rest of us who've had gripes about the media for years. Now you're offended, so something MUST BE done.

I have known about American media for a long time. FOX can't even get a license to broadcast in Canada because of their admitted rewriting of news stories (e.g., lying) to suit their agenda. I go to the BBC, Reuters, and Al Jazeera for news of what is happening in the United States. Even Jon Stewart is better balanced and more informative than the network crap.

BTW - this is not a problem that concerns "me". This is a problem that concerns all of us, or should. The coastlines of the world are going to change dramatically, and some island countries may become completely submerged and uninhabitable. People can only stick their heads in the sand for so long.

If the breakout is not 97% - 3%, please correct the information.

ooooooh 97%

97% of 5 is how much?

what about the 3%, what do they say?

Would you say Algore is "big Money'?

the globe heats up and then cools down....nothing new here. And what would you do if you had all the money in the world and could apply it to prevent global warming. What would the priorities be and at what point would you be able to measure the cooling effect?

What happens when the earth decides to cool down. Do we let it alone? is it a result of over zealous global warming prevention? How do we prevent global cooling which apparently is the goal of the human caused global warming effort.

Take a look at the groups involved in this "march". If the media didn't give it the attention that some think it should have ..... it's probably because they were too embarrassed to do so.

Yeah, you can tell they were there.
They left behind tons of trash,
including plastic, styrofoam, and
other Earth friendly garbage.

I would loved to have attended,
but my Gulfstream was in the shop.

I don't have a clue. I'm still trying ti figure out why there are days in Houston when I cannot go into my own backyard. I'm still trying to figure out how a company's need to produce a product and the public need for that product trumps my right to breathe.

IMO, that line in "Hair" says it all. "Do whatever you want. Be whatever you want to be, just don't hurt anybody"

Even the former president of Shell Oil USA thinks we use too much crude oil.

What if you and your bunch are wrong and gw is true?
