Slow is good when you are going for convoys of fighters .... and it's sure a lot cheaper if they decide to use them. I think it's dumb for the Air Force to try and get rid of the Warthog, but that's just me (and the in-house expert)

The Badass of the Week - A-10 'Warthog'

As for the military strikes early this morning - ammo depots were hit, ISIS headquarters in Raqqa were hit and military installations were hit. Not bad for a 1st strike. ISIS has been evacuating it's people (leadership & their families) out of Raqqa for a couple of weeks. Many of the citizens of Raqqa have been trying to sneak out of the City and into villages for the same time-period.
They also have the AC-130 Gunship which would be a complete nightmare to ISIS caught out in an open convoy. While the Warthog has one Gatling gun (30mm) the AC130 can have eight of them (4 * 20mm and 4 * 7.62mm), or more typically it would have a mix of Gatling guns and cannons (like 2 * 20mm, 2 * 7.62 and 2 Bofors cannons)

That red line made long ago, must have finally been crossed.

You guys do know, Obama has been bombing them in Syria with drones for over a month now.
They are going to tell you what you want to hear. Not the truth.

We told Putin off so we could get in there some how.

Putin won't do anything.

He supports Assad and we are bombing terrorists. Unlike Obama, Putin isn't stupid.

Wrong, France dropped bombs.

And the Arab states support is letting the US use their territory.

Nothing more.

What a far cry from the Republican way: Go in there after LYING to Congress, drop a whole bunch of bombs, expecting those people to change their ideology because of "shock and awe". An entirely ineffective campaign which accomplishes little but cause the home front to bleed to death. The "shock and awe" occurs at home, due to the utter stupidity of it. NOT under this President. ISIS feeling the heat, even from Arab people. Incredible.
That drivel equal a months pay?

Good question - I wouldn't say it's "ineffective", but it's also not very clear about what is going on. The US Media finally started reporting on what has been in the Mid-East press for weeks .... which is that Team Obama was trying to cut a deal with Iran for their help with ISIS and that Team Obama is supporting Bashar al-Assad to be the "stabilization" of Syria and "contain" ISIS.

None of this would go over well with either the Sunni Nations OR with Israel. Giving Iran their "flexibility" to attain Nuclear weapons is no bargain. The word "flexibility" is coming straight out of Tehran and they make no secret about it. Also a report in the New York Times and Lebanon Daily Star about an 'alliance' of sorts between the US and Hezbollah. Strong denials from the US on these Shiite Alliances ..... but there is certainly something to it, it's been all over the ME & Iranian news for weeks.

NYT: De-facto Hezbollah-US alliance against ISIS - Daily Star

Today's strike on ISIS, and the GCC 'co-operation' may put some of that "talk" to rest, but part of the fear of the GCC/Sunni nations is that Obama would not follow through on all his "Talk" - it's going to take more that one day or even one week of Air Strikes in Syria.

France has bombed in Iraq and only Jordan (so far) has admitted to flying bombing strikes in Syria - they have not said where they flew in Syria.

They are going to tell you what you want to hear.

They were surveillance drones, along with surveillance aircraft. You may want to research your "claims" before posting them, or at least provide a link to support them.

Here's mine:

US Drones To Fly Over ISIS Areas In Syria

Do you think that the strikes that just took place were random targets???
