You seek to ignore the enormous health benefits of cheap electric, if Grandma can't afford to turn the heat up or turn on the AC? When electric goes up everything goes up including everything associated with healthcare.
Nobody has killed by coal plant on their death certificate. Those studies that cite deaths use a linear dose assessment. Every particle of pollution is treated as equally as dangerous regardless of exposure.
This how those studies work, first we obtain some hard data. For example suppose if 20 people fell off a ten foot ladder and 10 of them die. From there we assume that for every 400 a population is fall ten will die. 40 people fall off a ten foot ladder ten will die, 400 people fall off a 1 foot ladder ten still die.... when millions fall of an infinitesimally small ladder 10 will still die.
