I read that article.

That's what they said and did. Used "novel" programming. In other words, their data into their program to get the desired results.

So tell me then....What scientific method do you use to get your results?

So not really what one would call a "blow," but it does help us better understand what might be going on with the dry weather in California.
well... here is the thing. We have been hearing very loud comments about CAGW causing drought in the west....so what our friend did was post this truth that says this is not true. He even used a source that is very decidedly of the Warmist persuasion.

the LA Times has made an editorial decision to not allow any anti-CAGW commentary.

you might be interested in diging up the video from a senate hearing around Feb. of this year on the subject, in which one of the governments top scientists pointed directly to the regional drought in the western US as proof of CAGW.

in fact she went so far as to say that while it is true that there is no GLOBAL Signal related to hydrology, one can and should look regionally and the drought in the western US was proof that CAGW was causing drastic changes to hydrology.

I wish I had the link to the hearing I would post it for you.

found it!

start at 1:23:00 Ms. Heidi Cullen gives a nice down the line CAGW speech that doesnt stand up at all to the acutal science... in very particular, she speaks about warm temps in the western US.

enjoy! but if you believe in CAGW, you might want to avoid what follows because she gets pretty dismanteled.

not to mention when asked if Mr. Obamas statement that Global Warming had gotten worse in the last 10 years, she was forced to disagree with the president.

The same one you do, when you accuse skeptical scientists of being in the pocket of big oil or the Koch brothers.

I used no scientific methods because I frankly don't care what happens in California.

An independent group of scientists have asserted AGW is not causing the drought. They get their results from years of observations and records.

Stanford invented a program to get the results desired.

California drought and climate warming: Studies find no clear link - LA Times
California has always been much hotter and dryer than it has for the last 150 years is what I've heard from unbiased meteorologists. In fact, many believe that California is returning to a more traditional climate for that area, warmer and dryer and most probably cannot support the population that has moved in, which is comparatively new for that area. The water shortages are completely expected and will get much worse.

If I lived in California? I would be selling and looking to move out before their economy collapses.
