Beef Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un fractured his ankles by being too fat. The guy is literally the only fat person in the entire country of starving peasants.
Kinda reminds me of how DC is now the richest region in the country, and the only one that did not seem to suffer from the crash of 2008

While I agree that Kim is a threat of sorts,you are wrong on the fact that I "despise" conservatives..I do despise fake conservatives(new age conservatives if you will) and Rush is NOT a conservative and never has been...he's just a guy that panders to the low IQ crowd and makes a fantastic living doing it.

Don't believe for a second the N. Korean Generals are progressive in any way. The military has ruled N. Korea for many decades now, and the young Supreme Leader is only a useful figurehead for them. The military is the only fat economic sector of the country. The North Korean Generals have made having a family member in their army the difference between being merely hungry and too weak to survive.
Kim Il Sung was the only true strong man in his family. He was a guerrilla leader against the Japanese during WWII, and his credentials as a fighter allowed him to emerge in 1948 to become the dictator of the nation. He kept the dictatorship until his death in 1994.
Il Sung realized, just like most dictators, that developing a cult of personality was the only way to stay in command and stay alive. He did a good job at making his people believe he was their kindly father and was the only one who could keep the scary Americans from coming up from the south to kill them all.
The fact is: even an impoverished country has enough to make a few very rich and very secure. As long as the military has all the control, it doesn't matter for them who the face on the posters is. If Kim Jung Un can't do the job, and his sister can, it's no problem. The Generals will quietly put him out to pasture and let her do the talking.
After Jung Un executed his uncle, there is going to be no opposition from family members any more. You can be sure his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, thought he had enough Generals in his pocket to take over. Feeding him to the dogs alive was an object lesson for the military allies Thaek had collected. Five of his top guys went into the same dog cage with him, and they were all eaten alive, too, while 300 top military watched it all. Supposedly, it took an hour for all of them to die.

"Progressive" has nothing to do with it.
Remember, the military can rebel against the men at the top, when their bellies get hungry. NK can't feed itself and is getting worse.
While these people may have a fanatical devotion to getting and keeping power, that power has to be defended against insurrection, and they know very well that their society is impoverished and getting worse. And they know the reason for it.
I don't know what is keeping the dictatorship up. I can think of one other country that was ran like that. Romania under Ceausescu. He ran that country quite similar to North Korea. In fact, he got his ideas from North Korea. Around the 1980s, people were hungry, cold, and most of all, had enough. Eventually, he was overthrown and executed. This hasn't happened in North Korea yet, and this country has been through famine.
