Smoke rises from Kobani, a town right on their border, a big chunk of it already seized by ISIS. Yet they refuse to take any action on the ground alone. Is it because they can't?? Maybe that's just it.... they haven't fought a real a war in ~100 yrs.

The west is weak and ISIS knows it, we have transgender sensitivity month and Nebraska schools cant distinguish between boys and girls because the feminists don't like it. Crap is going to hit the fan and when it does as an American citizen its going to be difficult to dodge the crap and keep from getting any on you.

Turkey is waiting for ISIS to kill all the Kurds then they'll wipe out ISIS. Kills two birds with one stone. The Turkish view of Kurds is "the good one is dead one".

Kind of like Scotland getting invaded and England doing nothing.

Is there any particular reason why they should sacrifice their troops for a Syrian village?

I agree Turkey has its own agenda which does not exactly match the Western countries one in the region.

it's right on their border. let the coalition get involved - from countries 1000's of miles away, but a so-called modern and capable military a stone's throw away won't get involved.

maybe Turkey will be lucky enough to be the next ISIS target - being hit with waves and waves of suicide bombers from within.

they have the gall to think the EU would want them? no one wants anything to do with Islamic extremists, which is exactly what ErDOGan is. Look who he supports after all. Throw Turkey out of NATO. They are not a partner for peace.

So, in your book being close is a good reason to sacrifice your troops?
