I have no problem voting for anyone based on their religious preference as long as they don't make a big deal about it. I believe in separation of church and state, and expect our elected officials to do the same. One's religious affiliation has no bearing on their ability to govern, and I lose respect to politicians who pander to any religion over others.

Well the opposition would blame him for waging a war on women and he would not make the finals.

I'd vote for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dave Chappelle, or a number of other Muslims before voting for any of the major part'sy potential candidates.

It's hilarious how scared righties are of Muslims when they and conservative Muslims share about 98% of common beliefs.

Would you say "righties" are as scared of Muslims as lefties are of their fellow citizens who are conservatives?

Yes, but Christian conservatives are about 46% of the country, Muslims are 0.8%, so it's not quite analogous.

I don't know anyone who is afraid of any conservative. Care to give some examples of fear of conservatives anywhere near the level of the fear some people have towards Muslims in this country?

Sure, go read your posts on the Rick Scott thread. You're terrified of the dude, probably because you think he will take your weed away from you.

To play devil's advocate here, the thread is about whether we'd vote for a Muslim for president. I wouldn't vote for a conservative for president, so for present purposes at least, I would say the "fear" of the two are comparable.

The salient difference is that Muslims are a miniscule minority and Christian conservatives almost half the country, although declining little by little.

Bad choice to consider a Muslim. The Conservative can at least return your Constitutional Rights and Grow you Business. You must be a Socialist Liberal. Shame!

Really Like Sharia Law? Better rethink that! What about your Rights that Lib talk about endlessly?:thin k:
